HI

I have narrowed down and issue which started with updating a power cube built in transformer which used a query subject items based out of a reporting model in framework manager.

This issue seems to be in the reporting model of frameowrk amanager also in whcih i bring in data items to put on a report and get some errors .

below is a copy /paste from some posts that i have put in tranformer section here but it was suggested to post in framework section also.

Any ideas or help would be greatly apprciated..

HI

the column is still in the model but when you test it produces an error such as follows

'This query contains an error that cannot be reached.RQP-DEF-0177 an error occurred whie preforming operation 'sqlprepareWithOptions' ststus ='205'

UDA-SQL-0191 the column was not found in table or view.

Looking at the source database SQL i see the fileds in question

HI,

It seems it is releted to the model and package in framework manager. if i try and do a report now on the framework model and use certain elements from the specific query model i amd getting the "An error occurred while preforming operation 'sqlPrepareWithOptions' status ='205' error.

Any ideas

FM allows you to evaluate / update all query subjects. It will also indicate whether a query subject is invalid.
The first step would be check whether the model is still 'in synch' with the database..

How would i be able to complete that task. Other tables (query subjects) i can test and get the test results?

please explain further

Select 1 or more query subjects and go to the menu (tools I guess, or the one next to it) There you will find an evaluate/update option..

thanks bloom i will try this in the AM. restoring the frameowrk manager model to an earlier backup in which everything worked correctly solve the issue also

Okay, its blom by the way (though for some reason everyone seems to default to bloom)

Anyway, you mean that your problem was introduced by changing the model (and it is solved by going back to an earlier version?)

nfldbunker

nope just saying that if i cannot figure out what is wrong i should be able to restore to framework manager model from backup to a time when model was working. but what i find hard to figure out is what changed on the model as the elements which the error appears on was not modified ...i am 99% sure of that

Changing the model in itself would have no consequences as long as you do not republish your packages. You can check the date on the package.

You can also take the model.xml file (of the recent and older version) and run a compare in , say notepad++ or ultraedit. This will quickly give differences, if any..

If you want to compare the XML files for FM models or reports, I would suggest formatting them first.  I use a free program called firstobject XML editor to do that but I'm sure there are lots of other choices.
