Hi all

I would like to know if one of you could share a little bit of his experience:
. Have you ever displayed some Japanese text in a Cognos report ? What kind of difficulties did you have to face ?

It seems that I'll have to display a kind of "mixed data": English text / values and figures for the main body of a list ( for example ), and all others text, headers, footers, column headers, etc ... will be in Japanese text ( Kanji symbols ).
Is it possible ?

Thanks in advance,
Regards
vinc.

Hi,

Provided it's a supported language in Cognos 8, you shouldn't have any problems.

Hi

Thanks for your answer.

So you mean, no particular settings in Cognos in anyway .... (?).
If so, it is really fine.

Thanks,
vinc.

Hi,

I also found this on the IBM website, which may help when using Japanese text.  This other page may also be useful.

Best regards,

Hi,

Many thanks for these additional infos.
As I don't fear any DB problem (Oracle + pro admin behind), we should be able to do it.
I'll see what happens now, if ever I'm really asked for that.

Best regards,
vinc.
