Not emailing requested reports

I've been trying to email myself reports but it never makes it to my inbox.  The report just sits in the queue with an "Executing" status but never does anything.  It will eventually disappear all together.

Cognos Config. "Notifications" has been setup properly.  What other areas should I check to ensure proper operation?

Is there prompts in your report which may not be executing when the report if to be sent to you. Also did you check your report scehule to see if there is a setting which may affect this report from executing.

There are prompts but they work properly when running th report normally.  Also, there are no schedules.  I was just clicking the "Run w/ Options" from Cognos connection and selecting 'email'.

Maybe I'm not understanding what you mean...how would I check if its not executing when requesting it to be emailed?  Also, re: report schedule, are you referring to the "Schedules" under the Status tab in Cognos Administration?

Just checked the status again and it is now "Waiting"

Hello All,

I'm experiencing the same issues occasionally. There's no obvious pattern, it seems totally random.
I've added the Cognos server IP to the SMTP's list of "safe senders" as suggested in the KB but this has had no effect.

Has anyone figured this out yet?
