Title: [SOLVED] Page breaking with two crosstabs
Post by: bogdaboco on 25 Jan 2006 04:09:22 AM
Hi,

My reports contain a header in which I have some page breaking items coming from a request OR a crosstab.
I do this strange distinction cause the only way I succeed with a croostab was to :
- put my items in my crosstab
- make a section (thus a new request)
- bring my items out of my section and put it on my header
- config my pagination by choosing the appropriate items of my new request (those which are in my header)

If I don't do that (if I works only on my crosstab request without creating a new "principal request"), my pagination is effective but my crosstab contents is always the same (the pagination is not weighed).

So...now, I can explain my real problem!

When I have two crosstabs on the same page, one of the two crosstabs is not page breaked, cause my pagination is created from only one crosstab (by my section).

So I have one crosstab working, the other containing all the data on each page!

Can anybody help me?

Thx for your responses

Nobody want to answer?
Don't you understand my problem?
Well... I'm going to add the first reply.

First:
I am saying that it is not possible to do crosstab pagination without using a principal request created from a section on the crosstab.
Is it right?

Second:
I am looking for a solution to do pagination with two crosstabs.
Is it possible?

Third:
I have seen that it is possible to put croostabs (or other objects, like another list) in a column list.
Is it the way to make pagination with several crosstab?

Please, give me a reply!!

Master detail relationship with a repeater and crosstabs(s) or whatever. Join the repeater to the crosstab using a the master detail filter. This will rid you of the need to create a section.

Go sales example attached.  I hope this fills your need or atleast gives you an some ideas :)
If not let me know more exactly what you need maybe with sample data on what data goes where.
