Title: Regarding daylight saving in reports
Post by: sathish_cognos on 04 May 2010 05:28:34 AM
Hi all,
currently we are having Global timing(GMT) in all the system environment, so the global timing is displaying on the reports, but the end-user wants to see in local timing(CMT) wherever GMT time is displaying in the reports...

so they are requesting to display CMT with daylight saving setting in all the places where the GMT time is diplayed in the report, please help me get through...

Thanks in Advance
Sathish

Sathish,

Would you please provide some more context?  What time are you refering to you?  Are you talking about dates stored in the database as GMT?  Or the timestamp Cognos puts of the report after the reports runs?

Thanks,

Kris

Hi Kris,
we are using GMT as the local timing, so GMT timing is global distributed to all the places wherever time is displaying,
but the enduser is requesting to display their local time in the report. for e.g if the EST is to be displayed if report is accessed from europe, depending upon the geographic location the corresponding time is to display...need to know how to implement this to function.

help me
sathish,
