I want connect my Cognos 8 v 8.4 to my SAP R/3. How to configure it?

Do you have IBM Cognos 8 Data Integration for SAP/R3?

Take a look here (http://download.boulder.ibm.com/ibmdl/pub/software/data/sw-library/cognos/pdfs/factsheets/fs_c8bi_data_integration_sap_r3.pdf) for a PDF about this on the IBM website.

MF, I already read the PDF file.
so I must Install the SAP GUI and Data Manager Connector in my Cognos Server, is it right?

Can I get the data manager Connector from Cognos Data Manager installer?

The SAP Connector is a different install from the main Data Manager install media as far as I can remember. If you don't have it you will need to download it from the IBM site (provided you have a customer number).

sorry for the late reply. for the connector to SAP R/3 is it free of charge?or I must buy it coz someone told me the connector was not free..

FYI, I can't download from your link because my customer number has a problem.

Your customer number is used to route you through to only the specific downloads you are entitled to based on your current licenses. The SAP Connector is not free, but if you have a license for it you should be able to download it.

Thx for your info..
IBM Cognos Pre-sales told me to use virtual view manager (the installer come with Cognos Media Pack). He said with virtual view manager we can connect to anywhere but until now I always failed to run virtual view manager.

do you now how to install n configure that software?

Sorry for the late reply..:(

Pre-sales from IBM Indonesia told me to use Virtual View Manager(vvm).
After I search and read Virtual View Manager documentation, is it right vvm can not read from BEX query and INfocube?

Now the installation status is Success. Do you have a documentation how to use VVM?
