Title: Publishing planning application to Cognos Connection
Post by: shananigins on 19 Apr 2010 09:36:50 AM
Hi,

When I publish a Planning application to Cognos connection, lately it has been duplicating.

ie - I'll have the following applications listed:

Forecast
Forecast(2)

How do I prevent the duplicate from happening?  Is it as simple as ensuring the "Overwrite the package access rights at the next GTP" is selected in GTP Options in the CAC?

Thanks!

I have noticed that this happens from time to time, I think the cause is that you have two different applications in the same pad and both have the same name of the package in GTP options, then you will get this duplication. To correct this, delete all the packages (i.e forecast, forecast1, forecast2 etc) and the GTP again and then make sure no other application or copy of this application has the name forecast in package name under gtp options

Great!  Thank you!!

I did get a response from Cognos on it and your explanation is bang on with theirs.  Thanks so much!
