We have a report with two differnet prompts, Date and DEPT.Now user wants
to run same report for another department without going back to report folder
to select the report.
I mean, Is there anyway, can run another verision of same report without having to
the reports folder page and re-select the report??

I am assuming that you have already got your prompts on a prompt page that appears when the report is selected from Cognos Connection.
In the main report page, either in the report header (that's what I would use) or at the end of the report, insert your prompts. Then insert a prompt button and for the button properties, select reprompt.
Now when your user runs the report, they will be initially prompted as usual, but the prompts are now also in the report, so they can change the prompt values and click the reprompt button to get a refreshed report.
Note that you can also use the "reprompt" button for a refresh, too.

No, you still need the prompt page for the initial run of the report. Then you also have the prompts on the report page so the user can make another selection.
