Title: Usage of "masks" in Cognos Planning Analyst
Post by: branko on 10 Mar 2010 08:50:31 AM
Hi,

i would like to ask for your help (opinion, workarounds...). I have a Cognos planning Analyst solution (several analyst libraries, thousands of objects) and beside the "Library level" Analyst security, applying "masks" on a specific d-list items security was used.

So, when i click File - administration - maintain libraries... - masks - i can see there are 2 masks created. The question is :-) Is it somehow possible to find out where, in which d-lists, for which d-list items were these masks used ? Of course, without having to open hundreds or more d-lists to find out their security.

If you have any ideas, let me know. Thanks a lot...

There is a very simple way to get this information
go to manu File > Library > Dlist
select all the dlist and export its detail in .csv file format.. though print button
from this .csv file using some filter and sorting in excel u can easily find out the mask info.. :-)
