Hey guys,
I'm at a loss here. *headwall* Does anyone know if Cognos 8 can meet this requirement?
I have two reports, Report A and Report B.
If I generate Report A, depending on the state of the database, it will either display "ON TIME" data or ON TIME data + LATE data.
If *any* LATE data is printed, then I want to auto-enclose Report B as an extra page in Report A when I generate the report (e.g. generate the PDF).
Note that Report A and Report B are two separate Cognos reports.
Is there a way to do this, or do I literally have to copy and paste the entirety of Report B into a conditional page at the bottom of Report A?
Hope I was clear enough...let me know if I can clarify in any way.
If you want to incorporate report B as an additional page in Report A than you need to conditionally show / hide it within Report A. If the reports are 2 seperate objects I do not think you will be able to 'merge' them in runtime. ( as an PDF object)
Thanks so much! :)
I understand showing/hiding it via conditionals, but where is the option to show a report within another report?
As in, let's say I want Report B to display as the second page of report A every single time Report A runs. How do I embed report B into report A in Report Studio?
This may be a semantics thing, but as you can add report pages to a report studio report, where is the problem in defining report B as an additional report page in report A?
