My operating systems is Winxp pro, sqlserver2000,,IIS,,
When i Installed the cognos reportnet, i checked the log files. after installing.. it says some "timestamp error"
The Cognos bootstrap device is started but bibustksever has not yet displayed in the Taskmanager..
What to do
When i type the http://localhost/crn
It says DPR-ERR-2058 SAME error ,,

Hai ,
After the error , i found the status of the crnserver log files,The Message displays as
M-SYS-5003 Content Manager is unable to access the content store database. Verify your database connection parameters and then contact your database administrator.
Failed Logon:com.jnetdirect.jsql.w: TCP/IP connection failed to host:java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect url:jdbc:JSQLConnect://localhost:1433/cm
</parameters>

You seem to have a problem with your content store. Check if "User" tables were created in your CM instance.

Yes,I checked in the ContentStore, Tables r created and i changed the "security login password " and Windows Pass are same "admin"..
In the cognos configuration..
DatabaseName:CRN(Actually i had mentioned as 'crn' in content store')
UserId and Pass:admin
DatabaseServer and portNumber:localhost:1433
Type:Microsoft SQL server database..

In Reportnetservice i had changed the dispatcher service to 512 mb (As of RAM is 512 mb)
That's it

Hum...!!?? ???

This means that your connection to the sql server is right.

One thing that is mentioned in the knoledge base is to stop the crn service, manually delete all the "user" created tables (in SQL server) and re-start the crn service.

I'm not certain if this will help your cause but it would be something to try.

Let us know how it went

I know you were able to create tables in the Content Store but nevertheless..

What service pack are you on XP is it SP2.

What version of SQL Server 2000, is it personal edition or standard edition.

ReportNet is not supported on the personal edition of SQL Server 2000.
