I think it is in the cer folder (cer 4, cer 5)

Hi, I did not see cognos.ini file under cer5 or cer4. under cer5 there are subfolder like cgi-bin, configuration etc....

cgi-bin would be my next place.

When I was using 7.4, I used it a few times. If I recollect, will let you know.

Hi Laxmi,

I just looked, and I saw the cognos.ini in my C:\Program Files. And I found another instance under cer5.

You could also do a search to locate the file.

Hi,

For older Cognos 7 installs, it is usually located directly beneath C:\Program Files\Cognos

If you have Cognos 8, you will not have this ini file though. Why do you need to find it?
