Individual users can create New Pages as part of their Cognos Connection portal.Ã, Is it also possible for system administrators to create new "public" pages, similar to the Welcome, Public Folders, and My Folders pages?Ã, These "public" pages would become defaults for all users, governed by user-specific security.Ã, I ask because I would like to use this as a means for system administrators to organize content in the portal.
Thanks in advance.
Sure, Go to Public Folders and click the New Page icon at the top right.Ã, You can also add content by clicking the Add Content icon next to it.

I did this, but the resultant page is
not public... it is only visible by me. Am I missing something?
Check this How do you copy customized My Pages to other users using the SDK? (http://support.cognos.com/kb-app/knowledgebase?document_search_show_document=1&document_id=1005904&version_id=4). You need a Cognos user account.

Thanks for the response Draoued.
I can't tell for sure without testing, but using this method it looks like the scripts would need to be run each time there is a new user, or for existing users each time there was a change to the new "public" folder.Ã, Not exactly an efficient, clean method for creating additional "public" folders.Ã,Â
