Title: Is anyone using both Cognos Planning and TM1?

I'd like to know how these products are being used together.  Thanks!

Yes I know of several IBM Cognos customers who are using both products. Normally they use Planning to collect small amount of data from lots of users (which TM1 is less suitable for) and then TM1 to analyze that data.

Thumbrule is IBM Cognos Planning: many users, small amount of data

TM1: Few users large amount of data

We are using Cognos Planning for budgeting at the cost center level on a global basis.  We use TM1 for corporate global financial consolidation at the regional level.  Budget from Planning is rolled up to region and loaded into TM1.  Dimensions from TM1 are used as dlists/elists in Planning.

I would like to speak or correspond with others who are using the two products in a similar fashion.
