Hi,
We have an issue. our report team ran report and which mostly take 1 hour. but it hung up yesterday and it is still executing and when we try to cancel it in the Cognos Connection nothing is happening and it cannot let us cancel/kill the report.
We are on Cognos 7.3 version and report net 1.1.

Hi,
You need to kill the appropriate BIBusTKServerMain process from your Operating System. The trick is in knowing which one to kill, though (you may have multiple processes if other reports are running currently). I'd guess it will be the one consuming most memory?

Thank you for the information. I see couple of BIBusTKServerMain connections in the Window Task manager. Currently all of them are using the CPU.
I think I have to wait until all other reports are done and then kill the last one are using the CPU & Memory.

HI MF,
OK, I have killed BIBusTKServerMain process in window task manager and when I went in cognos connection it is still showing me the report is pending.
I try to cancel it still nothing happen. I restart the report service only nothing happen. Still in panding mode.
Please can you let me know what will be the next step.

Hmmm - sounds like the server is getting confused somewhere. You may need to try restarting the ReportNet service.
user processexplorer.exe application.
find the process id from Cognos application.
Using process Id we can find out the BIBUS process in use for that report and kill the process.
Note: Process explorer.exe application is free no need to pay ;)
