Title: Cognos Planning 7.3 - Installaion on Local Machine
Post by: Laxmi9 on 12 Jan 2010 04:46:40 PM
Hi All,

I need to install the Analyst and CAC on the local machine and need to
configure them to the Production Server.

It would be great if anyone provide me the step-by-step process.

Thank you!

Probably read the installation documentation available on IBM sites, it should be pretty straightforward.

Hi,

I know how to install the components(Analyst,CAC) on the local machine.
I need the following info:

After installation is done, how we configure both components(Analyst, CAC) to the production Environment. I went through the documnets on the IBM sites already, they didn't mention clearly related to this. Can you give me the step-by-step procedure for configuration.

Hello,

after the installation, you need to set-up the correct authentification source in Access Manager (if you use it) for Analyst to work.

You also need to point Analyst to the correct Filesys.ini to the correct environment (if you have multiple).

For the CAC - once you first run it, you need to point the client to the correct PAD, it will ask for this automatically.
