Hi All,

I have some reports with HTML Items and without HTML Items when ever I gave permissions to the user by adding my group ....User is able to run all the reports whichever is not having HTML Items .

And User is getting the "The user does not have the assigned capability to use HTMLItem" error when ever he chooses the HTML ITEM reports.Even if I gave all the permissions to that group...It is not working.

Please let me know is there any way to find a solution.Need Cognos experts suggestions on this issue.

Hi Sanjeev,

In Cognos Connection portal go to Tools >Capabilities > Report Studio.

Select 'HTML Items in Report' properties and assign 'Everyone' user group with Execute and Traverse rights.
