Title: Change the owner of a report
Post by: gats1527 on 30 Nov 2009 07:46:06 AM
We have 3 report writes who schedule their report to the user community but the email comes out under their email address and with 3 differnt people sending reports via the scheduler, it can get confusing for them.  We have a generic report admin account set up within Access Manager where we would like all the reports to be sent under.  Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to accomplish this?  We tried changing the contact of the report, but that did not work.  Thanks

Tom

You need to schedule the report(s) while logged in under the generic account.

This is a two step process.  All of your reports that are deployed into production that are 'system' reports (meaning these are reports that either A you will be scheduling or B users will be logging constitently to access the reports)

First step is to take ownership of all the reports with the adminstrative account.  Once that is complete under the set properties tab/reort you must check the 'run as owner' check box to force email delivery to come from the admin account or which ever email address you setup under Cognos Connection on the server.
