Pie Chart ââ,¬â€œ
Iââ,¬â,,¢ve got a report that contains 3 separate Pie Charts on a single page.Ã, The values are set to display as a percentages which works fine for the first chart. However the following charts (2 and 3) do not display percentages even though the attributes for these charts are identical to the one that does display as a percentage.Ã,Â
Anyone knowing of a work-around or fix would be greatly appreciated.
ThanksÃ,Â
Near,
This may be an over-simplified response but did you set the property on the other two pie charts to display percentages? I had to ask...it's the only solution I could think of. Many times you can overlook the smallest details.
Can you provide more information so we can help?
If your first one works fine, try copy/pasting it and adjusting query and other properties. It's probably just a glitch.
As a possible solution I did try to cloan the first pie chart but unfortunately this didn't work either. I did this several times just to make sure. I'm also having a similar problem with multiple bar charts. I've reported it Cognos and they are looking into the proplem. I've also duplicated the problem with Cognos sample data and I believe it's a bug.
???
Are you exporting these charts to Excel ? If so it could be a bug.
Could you post the XML of the report you made with the samples?

Where is it not showing percentages - in the values or the axes?
If you move chart 3 to the position of chart 1, does it show percentages?

Near,
Please update us on this issue. What's the status?
It seems that this is a conditional block issue. If the conditional block is removed the chart displays as expected. The problem has been reported to Cognos and we await a fix.
Thanks!
Is the display of percentages conditional? In other words, does the requirement call for the graph to display percentages if one condition is met and non-percentage values if another condition is met?
Can you explain the condition? How did you define your conditional variable? Thanks.
Nothing is extraordinary within the conditional block or the values used for evaluating the condition.
Itââ,¬â,,¢s just weird. As soon as I moved the chart to a non-conditional block and/or any other location, the problem goes away. As I posted earlier, this has been reported to Cognos and they have listed as a bug.
:'(
I'm marking this issue as unsolved. Please keep us informed of any developments on this. Thanks.
Thanks!
The chart issue has been forwarded to Cognos and they are looking into it. They seem to feel that in fact this is a bug and should be resolved in future releases.
Thanks you all your effort! It's greatly appreciated.
