I am an MIS student and I've recently started learning Cognos Decision Stream 7.1. Offlate I've been encountering a lot errors while following the user guide. One of them is I want to enable source code control and as mentioned in chapter 19 of the user guide
1. I've closed the open catalog,
2. clicked options on the tools menu,
3. then I clicked on the general tab and selected Enable source code control and clicked OK.
But I am getting the following error:
1. ERROR
DS-CAT-E251: Could not find registry key 'SCCServerPath' in location 'Software\Microsoft\SourceSafe' for source code control.
Can any one please explain what this error is and how should I solve it?

Hi,
Basically DS is telling you it doesn't know where to find SourceSafe. Do you have Microsoft SourceSafe installed and working on the machine running DecisionStream? Source control in DecisionStream requires SourceSafe to be installed - it sounds as though there's a problem somewhere in the registry settings where DS is looking for SourceSafe.
