I have made a list report. My client would like to have this report fit on a single page. She also would like a fixed column size.
I selected the List Columns Body Style, clicked Spacing & Breaking and set the Line Height to 2 mm.
In Report Studio, I see the line height has decreased. However when I run the report (pdf), the line height displays as default. Same thing for the column size, whenever I run the report my settings seem to be ignored.
What am I doing wrong?
The PDF renderer has a life of its own and obeys a different set of rules. Another way of enforcing is use characters in the list header and use 'no wrap' to enforce fixed column width

As you can imagine, I'm not too happy with those rules :P Adjustment of column size and line height are basic features of predecessor Cognos Impromptu.
Will it be any better if I upgrade to Cognos 8.4?
We upgraded to Cognos 8.4 and now it works.
