Title: ReportNet configuration issues with DB2
Post by: anoop_ind2 on 07 Dec 2005 10:56:56 PM
Hi,

I have installed ReportNet on a desktop PC with XP as my OS. I am having DB2 as my database and the database is on a Unix Server. ie I have only my DB2 client installed in my system.
When i open the http://localhost:9300/p2pd/servlet/dispatch URL i get the below error.
DPR-ERR-2058 The dispatcher cannot service the request at this time. The dispatcher is still initializing. Contact your administrator if this problem persists

Only the three tables, CMSYSPROPS,CMCAPACITY, CMDBTEST are getting created in the DB2 Database. I guess that is the issue. In my taskmanager, COGBOOTSTRAPSERVICE is running and i cannot find the BIBUSTKSERVERMAIN service running. Am attaching my CRNSERVER.log file.
Pls advice.

Thanks,
Anoop S

if u have any anti virus software disable that first and give a try...this usely works. if not, check whether u are able to connect the server from the client. I mean the TNS name should be same in both client and server. In few cases an alias to the TNS name in the client machine would be given, these settings sometimes give problems.

This can often be due to the character set not being set correctly.  Refer to the installation gude for requirements for DB2 as a content store.
