Can anyone recommend a resource for advanced training for COGNOS? I have some PowerPoints, but they are very basic in their scope. I specifically am looking for training building advanced reports - using filters, writing expressions, advanced prompts, etc.

I have an Advanced Report Studio writing book from my IBM training class. The cost of the class is steep, it was only 2 days and cost ~1400 I believe.
I was sent to the class after working with Cognos for a while and it was well worth it for the techniques and the best practices. It's hard to find resources outside of the official courses.
The reseller we purchased Cognos from provided some training. We also have learned quite a bit from Dan Volitch's book IBM Cognos 8 Business Intelligence. Now we are in the process of training our users internally based on the knowledge of Cognos that we currently have.
You might like the Online training that IBM Cognos provides. I tried for olap data and was satisfied. It saves you travel.
