Hello Geeks,
I am trying to install Cognos 8.4 Planning on my local machine using Oracle Database.
I can successfully test the Connection to Content Store.
But when i Click to start the Planning Service it says:
[ERROR] Unspecified Error
I tried to install on other machine
where it gave error Class not registered.
Can anyone plz help me resolve this.
I have searched all KB of Cognos and i am unable to find any answer.
Any help would be appreciated.

can you post screenshot..and can you try with sql server and find out error whether it's with database or cognos... check log file...and pot log file also

There needs to be some more information on this issue laid out.
Are your services running as a named user or local system?
Have you installed BI server components on this server as well?
Is your user a local admin of the machine you are trying to start the services on?
