Hi,

I'm working with Cognos 8.4 (report studio) and i have a little problem with cross tab.

when i'm exporting in excel format i have that :

Year month name
2009 04 smith
Obama
Bush
05 carter
Ross
and i want :

2009 04 smith
2009 04 Obama
2009 04 bush
.....

Is it possible to have no merged column in a cross tab ??
It's more simple for filter in Excel.

use list instead

Ungroup the data item.

select the column, and ungroup is one of the icons on the toolbar...

Fake the crosstab out....

1. Add a Crosstab space to LEFT of your Column edge
2. Unlock report
3. Drag a 3 column, 1 row table into the inner most row edge
4. drag the President name into right most cell
5. drag the month item in the middle cell
6. drag the year item in the cell
7. set the box type property for the crosstab corner and outer 2 row edges to "None"
