Title: Integrate Excel with Selection Criteria to spin off Reports in CRN

Hi !

I am trying to interface 3rd party tool - in my case Excel reports with the Cognos Reportnet reporting. I have a bunch of users who have their selection criteria in a complex web of excel formats - these are interconnected to be able to find connected criteria in another excel sheet.

I am looking to be able to spin off Reports in Reportnet against this selection criteria of the users from their excel sheets.

eg, CutomerNumber greater than 56000.00, will be in excel one word in every column of the sheet. And this could be one of several more criteria in the same sheet.

Is this a case for SDK? Any ideas thoughts solutions will be appreciated.

We have a set of finance users, who have created their own calculations routines in EXL sheets and over the years these have grown. Now that we are moving to web reporting they want to able to do the same. That is to view and run the databases through excel. I am looking to integrating the solution with CRN.

Take a look at Cognos Office Connection...
