Hi,
I've a new user to 8.4 who after installing the java client successfully cannot open an elist node as he is presented with a file to save instead. The file is called: "CA05MVAV." without an extension.
Has anyone come across this before? Is it a file type association problem?
Many thanks!
In Startup menu of user's PC, does he/she have an item called 'startup' that opens with cognosrcp application? If not, then I suspect the client install is corrupted.
If they are getting a save prompt, it is a problem with the following:
1) problem with rich client framework installation
2) .cogrcp file extension is not associated with the correct program
Check your filetype associations first and let us know what it is set to open with
