I am using Mapinfo Professional v9.5 to create a custom map for Cognos Report Studio v8.4. I am able to convert the maps to a Geoset .gst file then use Map Manager to convert this to a .cmf file that Cognos can read.
The map shows up as a selection in Cognos Report Studio but it does not contain all my map formating and themantic layers I setup in MapInfo. That all seems to be lost after conversion.
Does anyone have experience in this process? Should formating and thementic layers transfer or am I doing something wrong in the conversion process?

Hi Skibby,
No a lot of the information is lost when converting to Cognos. It can really only do the basics.
The thematic mapping is designed to happen after its imported into Cognos and used within a report. the thematic stuff happens tot he map only when being rendered in Cognos.
You should still be able to see the map regions, etc.

You mind sharing how you got the MapInfo Pro to create the GST file? I can't find where that is.
