Title: Report appears small in PDF
Post by: kalyan_sekhar1 on 28 Nov 2005 12:57:41 AM
Hi All,

I ma having a strange and weird issue, When i export the Report to PDF in Windows environment it is showing fine where as in Unix environment (Sun Solaris), the table appears very small. I tried explicity setting the size of the report (size & overflow property) but it didn't work. Has anyone come across this problem before?

Is there any difference in functionalltiy between the Windows and Sun Solaris environment ?

Thanks

We have seen some strangeness between our Windows and UNIX environments when it comes to PDF.  We have not run into a table resizing issue between the two.   Make sure your PDF versions are the latest for both environments - upgrading/updating our UNIX side fixed one problem we were having.

Good Luck,

Don

Just a thought.  look at the fonts installed on the two servers.  maybe you are using a font in one server that is not on the other and it tries to render it as best it can.  I have seen this in a Cognos report where some data fields are extremely long and it's like pdf just decided to help everything fit on the page.  In html it looks fine but once in pdf it's like a small fonts 3 or something.
