Title: Directory Server localhost:389 is not responding?

Hi All,

I have installed Cognos series 7 AM Server and Administrator on Windows XP. I have configured the DNS on my system.

Once all the components installed, i have selected to configure with defaults.

I opened the configuration manager and validated the root level and when i applied selections then i am getting directory server not responding.

Can any one guide me whether i am doing anything wrong?

Do you solve the problem now? As I have same issue as well

Because there is error directory server <host>:<port> is not responding

Hello

Just come across this thread.

On the install youshould not choose configure with defaults, but instead choose custom.

You need to set the ticket service computer and port, (default is 9010).
