Hi All,

I am very new to cognos 8, Can anyone tell me how to calculate the %variance for this report.

i am attaching the report layout... and the data for year is only 2009 and 2008.

So variance should be 2009 $ sales - 2008 $ sales value/2008 $ sales value * 100.

how to put this formula in data item when i have only one Current year column.

I think adding a calculated measure expression will solve this issue.

You can also do Calculation, step by step, and hide the columns you don't need.
