Title: Best practice to zero cube with D-Link
Post by: greenbg on 24 May 2009 03:53:56 AM
I want to setup a D-link in the update links of a cube to ensure that the cube is zeroed out before any other D-Links run.  What is the best way to do this?

I though of just creating a simple Zero D-Cube and just D-linking it to every cell in the target D-Cube.

I don't want to use a Macro to apply a command as this would not work in the Contributor environment.

Is my approach the right way to go?

Thanks

yes this is fairly common, or you could have a hidden item within a dlist that =0 then link from here.

Thanks - I actually ended up going with your second recommended approach

glad to help  :)

I was going to ask - why do you want this dlink to run every time?
Do you have other dlinks running in Add mode?
