Title: Report Studio Error UDA-SQL-0219 The function "datepart" ....
Post by: hem852 on 18 May 2009 10:30:55 AM
Hi

We are running Cognos 8.2 and SQL Server.

I created a report on our development system which works fine but when I export the package and report to our UAT system and try to run it I get the following error:

UDA-SQL-0219 The function "datepart" is being used for local processing but is not available as a built-in function, or at least one of its parameters is not supported.

The report does not manipulate any dates using 'datepart' but the underlying package does. Framework manager doesn't complain about this, reports no errors and returns correct data as does Report Studio on our Dev systems.

Anyone got any ideas what might cause this error? How I fix it and why it is a problem on our UAT system but not on our Dev system which are identical with the exception that one is running on slightly lower spec hardware.

Thanks in advance for any help.

John

G'day John

I have a client with a similar problem.  How did you resolve this please?

Cheers,

Bob

Hi Blue! Great to see you back on here!! :)

I think you will need to get your Sherlock Holmes hat on and start digging around in your FM model to see where the datepart() function is being used. Is it possible you are using different database clients or client versions between Dev and UAT systems?

Cheers!

MF.
