I have a simple list report( 5 columns, with grouping on first column and a total aggregate on another column) nothing fancy.
I burst the report in cognos 8.2 to a camid(folder) and i see 2 list footer rows(one is named on group by field and another is called summary) in the burst reports.
I copied this report specification (copy to clipboard and opened report from clipboard in 8.3).I also checked to make sure that the burst options groupings were same in 8.2 and 8.3 for this report

Now when i burst the same report in 8.3 the summary list footer row is missing(I only see one list footer row in this bursted report.
I have been trying to figure why this summary list footer row which should be seen in the burst report is missing only in cognos8.3. And yeah the summary shows up fine when we run the report without bursting :), its just missing in cognos8.3 bursted report.
Any one seen this before?

I have seen simillar with bursting report when during report cration was used the same list or crostab (copying and pasting). not sure what was rally the problem but maybe the same id's for some objects in 2 crostabs.
when deleting and creating the crosstab again all was fine, if it's not so much work you can try with your part, just delete and create again.
