Title: How to synchronize two cubes in Contributor
Post by: getasim on 06 May 2009 01:01:47 PM
Need help with synchronizing two cubes within the same application. If one is updated with the values, the other gets that data in real time. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

When you say synchronize are you talking about a sync from the Contributor Admin Console?  Or do you simply mean within an application you want two cubes to have the same data when there is a data entry performed?

At a basic level just run a D-Link that takes data from the one cube and targets the other.  You won't be able to have your pick of entering data into one OR the other cube since the targets of dlinks are greyed out and locked from user entry but certainly entering data in one cube would then populate another.

Thanks, can it be a analyst to contributor link or analyst to analyst link? I have created an analyst to analyst link between two cubes and data is synch fine. Now, when i create an application in contributor, shouldnt the data also flow there?

Thanks'
