Hi Friends,

I am new to Cognos, I have moved from Business Objects to Cognos recently.

Can any one please help me on this:
I have 2 clients viz. A and B, they have their respective logins say UserA for client A and UserB for client B. They both have same database structure but different data in their respective DBs. We have created a report for these clients. Our problem is: if UserA access a report the report should connect to databaseA and if UserB access the same report the datasource should be to databaseB.
Is such a setting possible? Can I dynamically set the datasource information based on the user who access the report?

You can use ParameterMap .

Take help from this link.

under the follwoing section .

Cognos Reportnet -> Version 1.1 -> FrameworkManager -> Redirect User ...

I checked the site, but the site is prompting for USERNAME and PASSWORD, I dont have one :-(
Please help, will i have to register with the site and get Username and password?
