My project management feels that the project name needs to appear at the top and bottom of all printouts.Ã, This includes those made from ad-hoc reports created in Query Studio.Ã, What would be the best way to customize the default page(s) that is/are displayed when a user starts Query Studio?Ã, Any help/advice/suggestions would be most appreciated!

Cognos support has informed me that the only way to do this is to use the SDK.

Thanks for the suggestion. We tried editing the css for the Report Viewer but could only get the bottom image to print by enabling printing of background images. Using the css we could (and do) display the image on the Query Studio page, but we are looking to tie the image to the report template used for Query Studio. If you know the name and location of the template file (if there is one) used by QS, please post it in this topic and I will try it.
Btw, I was unable to close this topic, I read your instructions, but I never got the [Solved] to display in the main topic listing page.

to close the topic it is very simple..to the first post u have given u will be given the rights to modify the subject of the topic. click on modify and type in [solved] click ok. thats it...

With C8 you can easily create templates to use with your ad-hoc reports.
Normally I would not respond to a [Solved] topic - especially one that I started; however, I took the SDK class and for 1.1, 1.1 MR1, 1.1 MR2 and 1.1 MR3 - SDK will NOT solve this problem.Ã, I have been told and also as reported previously in this topic that COGNOS 8 has templates that are editable for Query Studio. This topic is still solved, just more information for the forum users.
