Hi All,

I'm a newbie to Cognos 8 SDK and was wondering whether it is possible to extend Cognos functionalities, like integrating Google Maps within the Cognos 8 environment.

I've looked up extensively on this on internet but haven't got anything encouraging.

Would request u all to send in some pointers on the same.

well this can easily be done using the Javascript API Google Maps provide. You can easily include "HTML items" in reports that reference the Google Maps API and develop some maps in reports

Also wanted to know can we pass report data,say "sales" value for cities in the Google Map.

How can we make report data available in the Google Map.

Insert the html item and in the properties for that html item change the source type to "Report Expression" and you can drag in query objects or other components.
