What do you mean by "remove and reattach"?  Are you saying to right click the Job Server name (under the cluster) and "Disable Job Processing"?

I am running into this error in 8.4.

Hey RickC,

What is the specific error you're receiving?  Is it identical to the message previously encountered by noraneko?

To remove and re-attach the JS means to delete it and re-add it.  Right click on the JS and select Delete job server, once removed right click on Job Servers and select Add job server.  This will, of course, remove any object that has been specifically added to this job server.  To check, expand the job server and select monitored applications.  If anything is listed at the bottom pane under "Monitored objects held in this job server", make note of them (or screen shot) and ensure you add them once the JS is added back.
