Title: [Unsolved] Performance Tuning issue.
Post by: geinel on 28 Oct 2005 06:43:40 PM
Hi every body,
I am getting data from two tables, Reporting Table and Audit Table. In both the tables the rows are in million somewhere about 10 mil, I havent start making the report, but a small introduction is that the client want to see recent data which is in Reporting Table and History Data which is in audit table. Could you guys please help me to chose the best approach and what do u guys think how much time it will take to generate the report after it is done.
Attached is the Model Diagram for ur understanding.Ã,
Thanks in advance,
Regards
GG

I was unable to download.

You could do a tabular set or tabular sql to union the two tables. You could add a calculated colun to distinguish between recent and history data
