Does anybody know if there are some free test examples for controller from Cognos? I have made a simple model in Controller from scratch and encountered a, so far, unsolved problem and I want to test Controller to see all its features.

No, there are no samples for Controller.
Just open a support case for it. Worst case you can send a copy of your DB for the helpdesk to review.
