I am relatively new to this field. I have requested the DBA to create new tables in the Staging and Target database. Then I need to import the new table from Target database to FM and publish the package we are using so that it would reflect on the the Presentation View section when creating reports via Report Studio.
Are there any instructions or reference which I could use on how to import the new table in the FM? Or do I just need to run and execute the Meta Data Wizard? Should it be executed in the root namespace or in database and business view level only?

You import your tables/views in the first layer and then use them to base model query subjects on.
The place of execution is slightly academical, since you can migrate them within the framework to any namespace you like..
