Title: Using the dimensional functions in DMR

I'm not sure if the dimensional functions such as periodsToDate can be used in DMR or Report Studio based DMR. Are there any restrictions for these functions?

I will upgrade to cognos 8.3. And I'm still wondering whether the dimensional functions are working well in FM/RS of cognos BI 8.3. Does anybody have experences on these fuctions and applied them in real project to such as YTD, LastYear task.

ciao, there is no chance to use dimensional functions in DMR in 8.3. Believe me!!!

U have to upgrade to 8.4... there is a new tag in DIMENSION DEFINITION, named MEMBER SORT in which u can see Sorting Option; u will flag Metadata box and Data box and belowe the Always OLAP Compatible.
