Good afternoon

We have created a new namespace in Cognos. Now I would like to copy all the reports for the users from their previous "My Folder" folders to their new "My Folder" folder. What is the best way of doing this?

The only way to automate this would be via the SDK. Maybe cognos has a tool already check out support.cognos.com you might just come right.

Some vendors also have tools that can do this. For example, BrightStar Partners (who hosts this forum) offers 'MetaManager' which we use and it can do this.

You can also do it manually by copy/paste operations, if you have less number of users..

Hi,

How about trying the export for all reports first and then do an import for the same, while importing you can change the owner and groups for your reports, which can belong to different namespaces.
