Title: Slicing (re-orienting) a D-Cube
Post by: abernabr on 22 Oct 2008 02:17:27 PM
Hello,
I am attempting to re-orient a D-Cube, which I am able to do. However, when I save the D-Cube, close it out and then re-open, it is back to the orientation layout that it defaulted to when I first created the D-Cube.

Does anyone have any thoughts on how I can get the re-oriented version to stick? I tried doing a file save as, but that didn't work either.

Thanks,
Brian

are you using D-Cube>>Dimensions>>Reorder?

Yes, I tried that as well and still nothing. Does that method work for you?

Reorienting a dCube only means to change the current view of a dCube. If you want to use that view over and over again you can save the view as a saved selection. Either you select 'saved selection' when opening the dCube each and every time or can you set up a macro to open existing saved selections.

When you reorder a dCube you are really changing the logical order of dLists of a dCube. That has nothing to do with the way of how you want a dCube to open up. The order must follow the guidelines for setting up dCubes or you'll get wrong calculation results.

Regardless of the dList order the dCube will open up a specific and predefined way which I don't know by detail.
