Joins are usually created in the catalog, not in reports.  You can overwrite the sql within a report, and therfore create any join required, however you will loose most of the report layout functionality that Imprmptu offers.

It is possible to create joins in the report by dragging in appropriate columns into the filter dialog box.

The filter clause will complement the existing join if any that was created at the catalog level. It will not overwrite the existing join.

It would appear from your questions that you have not attended any training course for Impromptu Administration.
I suggest that if your boss have assigned this responsibility to you then he/she MUST provide training for you.
You can get answers to these questions by reading the manuals and I strongly urge you to do this before asking anymore similar questions in these forums.  You can't shortcut your education by replying on other to read the manuals for you.

V cannot use joins at report level.as it is the admin or the creator's work to create the catalog with all the requirement specified to him.
