A scheduled report needs to extract information from a different Essbase cube slice each month...i.e. there are 12 cube members, one per month. Each month, the report must reference a different member to get the correct measures.
A typical report filter based on timestamps isn't possible as timestamps are not retained in the cube. ASlice filter works perfectly but this requires manual intevention each month to update the filter
I have tried and failed to create an expression-based Slice filter that dynamically identifies the proper member using the various date and set member functions. C8 rejects all such expressions as invalid.
Am I trying to do the impossible or is there another approach to this?
