Title: Impromptu Date Formats
Post by: philspil on 18 Oct 2005 08:18:00 AM
Hi,

We have recently upgraded to Win XP, and Imp 7.1 and have been having a problem with date formats.

When we previously used the Copy-Special to paste data into an existing MSExcel s/sheet, date formats would remain as shown in the report (eg 10/10/2005).

When we do this now, any dates contained in the report now convert to text in a format m-d-yy with a suffix of 12:00AM (eg 10-10-05 12:00AM)

Does anyone know a way of changing this default (other than File-Save As-Excel, as this just means that we get a lot of unwanted Excel s/sheets lying around!)

Thanks

Just an idea, never saw that before.

As you have a fresh windows installation, are your Windows Regional settings the same ??
And what happens if you change the windows regional settings to display the date in another format ??

Thanks for that ...I'll have a look. Unfortunately our administrators have trie to cut all functionality out of XP for security so may take a while!

I'll post here once I have found a way!
