I am having a time-out issue when one of my long-running (about 2 hours) reports is run thru our application (it works just fine when run on the cognos server itself). Does anyone have any ideas on what settings I can adjust to fix this? I don't know if its even related, but I did find one configuration setting that was set to "Small Configuration" with text that says it is suitable for demonstrations, etc. where response time is more important than performance and/or memory is limited". This was in our production environment! I can;t seem to find a way to change that setting, though. Any ideas?

you can change small to medium configuration, also increase buffer size from 4 to higher number.
Even though a lot of settings depend upon what you have, go through administration guide for best settings in general.
