Was wondering if anyone has taken advantage of outputting reports to file system option in configuration Manager. I recently was checking it out on our Sandbox got it working, file names are pretty nasty!! Has anyone written any scripts to Manage Report output's? In general what has been the experience with it?

We have not been bursting (outputting) our reports to an outside file system. However, we do burst reports. In regards to the file names, however, you should be able to find a script on the Cognos Knowledge Base (at support.cognos.com) that re-names these files to their appropriate file-names (versus using the key). Hope this helps.
